The crime came to light after the child complained of pelvic pain, and a medical examination confirmed the assault. The victim was reportedly lured by the perpetrator with the promise of chips before the crime was committed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the complaint, a case was registered under ITA WPS Case No. 45\/2024, under Section 65(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, along with Section 4 of the POCSO Act. Inspector Nich Rupa took charge of the investigation. The investigation revealed that the accused, a labourer in Naharlagun, had fled after committing the crime. Police intelligence led to a raid on his residence in Lakhimpur on 5th September. However, he had already left for Yomcha to work at a construction site. The police, in coordination with West Siang authorities, tracked down and arrested him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This swift and coordinated operation demonstrates the commitment of the Arunachal Pradesh Police to protecting vulnerable citizens and ensuring justice. The SP Capital praised the officers&#8217; dedication and stressed the importance of inter-jurisdictional cooperation in achieving justice for victims.
