The event was held to commemorate India Tourism Day, honor the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces, and promote a drug-free, healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The race was flagged off by Col. Ravi Panwar, Commandant of 6 Kumaon (Jangi); Commandant Deonath Ray of 25 Bn ITBP; Dy. Commandant Jagmohan Bishwakarma of 25 Bn ITBP; Sub Maj. Kishan Singh Bisht (Sena Medal) of 6 Kumaon (Jangi); and Mr. Tashi Tsiring Meyor, President of the Meyor Welfare Association (MWA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event saw participation from 159 runners representing various armed forces and villages such as Kibithoo, Kaho, and Walong.
