{"id":2479,"date":"2025-01-29T13:34:49","date_gmt":"2025-01-29T13:34:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=2479"},"modified":"2025-01-29T13:34:51","modified_gmt":"2025-01-29T13:34:51","slug":"journalists-enrolled-under-cmaay-in-landmark-health-initiative","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=2479","title":{"rendered":"Journalists enrolled under CMAAY in landmark health Initiative"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ITANAGAR, Jan 29: Health and Family Welfare minister Biyuram Wahge on Wednesday urged journalists to play a proactive role in disseminating information about government schemes to ensure their benefits reach the public effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at a mass enrolment event for working journalists under the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) at the Arunachal Press Club (APC) here, Wahge underscored the media\u2019s role in bridging the gap between the government and the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Journalists are the voice of the people. Their responsibility extends beyond reporting \u2013 they are also key agents in spreading awareness about welfare schemes that are meant to improve lives,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mass enrolment under CMAAY, the first such initiative in the country, enables both APST and non-APST journalists registered with the Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) to avail of health benefits. He reiterated the state\u2019s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and addressing existing gaps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are identifying shortcomings in the healthcare system to enhance medical services. This ensures that those who inform and educate the public are also taken care of,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sangno also extended his gratitude to the CMAAY team, including Health Research Scientist Dr Nabam Peter, State Health Agency Project Manager (Policy) Kime Pubyang, and the enrolment team, for their efforts in making the initiative a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier the health minister handed over CMAAY cards to three journalists to mark the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also present on the occasion were, Health and Family Welfare secretary Ira Singhal, OSD to health minister Dr Gomi Basar, APC general secretary Damien Lepcha, vice-president Bengia Ajum, APUWJ vice-president Ranju Dodum and senior medical officer Dr Dr Gem Meri.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITANAGAR, Jan 29: Health and Family Welfare minister Biyuram Wahge on Wednesday urged journalists to play a proactive role in disseminating information about government schemes to ensure their benefits reach the public effectively.
