NAMSAI, June 24: The much-awaited Inter-Battalion (Jorhat Ops Sector) Cross Country Race Competition was officially inaugurated today at Headquarters of 186 Bn, Jaipur, Namsai with vibrant enthusiasm and patriotic zeal. The high-energy event saw the participation of 81 athletes from 11 different battalions, celebrating the spirit of endurance, unity, and discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural ceremony was marked by a colorful march past and a mesmerizing band display by students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (VKV), Namsai, setting a spirited tone for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including Shri C.R. Khampa, Deputy Commissioner of Namsai, who attended as the Chief Guest, along with Sh. B.C. Das, District Sports Officer, Namsai; Sh. Padama Nabham, Vice Principal of VKV, Namsai; and several other senior officials and officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his welcome address, Sh. Dharmendra Kumar Singh, Commandant of 186 Bn, briefed the gathering on the purpose and spirit behind the event, emphasizing its role in fostering physical endurance, team spirit, and inter-battalion camaraderie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Guest, Shri Khampa, in his motivational speech, lauded the discipline and dedication of the participating soldiers and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence not just in the field of sports, but also in their service to the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day long competition aims to build a strong bond among the participating units and instill a deeper sense of fitness and brotherhood. The final day will witness a grand award ceremony, where the winning battalion will be honored for their outstanding performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
