JONAI, August 13: On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, the Indian Army conducted an Organ Donation Awareness Drive on  Wednesday today  under the theme \u201cAngdaan \u2013 Jeevan Sanjeevani Abhiyaan\u201d at Jonai Girls\u2019 College. The event, attended by over 800 students & faculty  from neighbouring  from border districts of East Siang in Arunachal Pradesh and Jonai in Assam, featured an awareness lecture on the importance, process, and ethical aspects of organ donation, followed by a Poster Making Contest to creatively spread the message of \u201cgift of life\u201d and to promote the life-saving message of organ donation to save precious lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Principal of the college lauded the enthusiastic participation, calling organ donation a \u201cselfless gift that can give someone a second chance at life,\u201d and urged students to spread awareness in their communities to promote the noble  act of organ donation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
