YUPIA,Sep 16: In a landmark initiative that sets a new standard for workplace wellness in government offices, Arogya Dham \u2013 Health and Fitness Hub was inaugurated today at the newly constructed Deputy Commissioner Secretariat Complex in Yupia, Papum Pare district. The centre, designed exclusively for public and government employees, is the first wellness space of its kind within government premises in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The centre was inaugurated by Ojing Tasing, Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperation, and Transport, Arunachal Pradesh. The event was attended by Doimukh MLA Nabam Vivek, Chief Secretary Manish Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Vishakha Yadav, Superintendent of Police Taru Gusar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tame Yajum, and other senior officials and staff of the district administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arogya Dham comprises a combined gym, meditation, and yoga centre, and is the brainchild of IAS Vishakha Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Papum Pare, who was recently awarded the Prime Minister\u2019s Award for her innovative \u2018Digi Kaksha\u2019 project, which introduced smart classrooms in government schools across Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the inauguration, DC Yadav shared, \u201cThis facility is envisioned as a space that encourages physical fitness, mental well-being, and a healthy work-life balance for employees. Our well-being is not just a personal responsibility but a foundation for building a truly fit and empowered India. I encourage everyone to make full use of this space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She further highlighted the deeper message behind the initiative, stating that government employees and public servants often prioritize the needs of others while neglecting their own health. \u201cThis wellness hub is a reminder that self-care is not selfish \u2014 it is essential for empowerment and resilience amid everyday challenges,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
