{"id":3875,"date":"2025-10-03T18:15:40","date_gmt":"2025-10-03T18:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=3875"},"modified":"2025-10-03T18:15:41","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T18:15:41","slug":"naharlagun-police-nab-fraudster-for-cheating-jobseekers-with-fake-placement-offers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=3875","title":{"rendered":"Naharlagun Police Nab Fraudster for Cheating Jobseekers with Fake Placement Offers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NAHARLAGUN, Oct 3: In a major breakthrough, Naharlagun Police have arrested a man accused of duping several unemployed youths by taking money on the pretext of providing them jobs in various private sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The accused, identified as Mr. Zarli Gongo (40) and a resident of Pani Muri village under Upper Subansiri district, had been operating a fake firm under the name \u201cSubansiri Private Security Service and Job Placement Agency\u201d at Model Village, Naharlagun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to police sources, between July and August 2025, Gongo lured job aspirants with false promises of employment as gunmen, storekeepers, security guards, and supervisors, collecting amounts ranging from \u20b95,000 to \u20b915,000 through both cash and online transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following multiple complaints, a case was registered under Naharlagun PS Case No. 134\/25 U\/S 318(3) BNS. The accused initially went absconding but was successfully tracked down and arrested from the Jote area by a team led by Inspector Krishnendu Dev, OC PS Naharlagun, with the assistance of SI Tapu Sarke and personnel from Chimpu Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Superintendent of Police, ICR, Shri Jummar Basar, APPS, lauded the efforts of the police team and issued a stern warning to the public \u2014 particularly unemployed youths \u2014 to remain cautious against fraudulent job offers. \u201cDo not fall prey to such scams.
