NAMSAI, Jan 3: The 186 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a vibrant Millets Mela on January 3, at the battalion campus, showcasing the richness of traditional, nutritious and health-oriented food practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mela witnessed enthusiastic participation from CRPF personnel and their family members, who set up a variety of stalls featuring innovative and delicious millet-based dishes. The colorful display and aroma of the dishes drew wide appreciation from visitors, underlining the growing importance of millets in promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainable food habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scrutiny committee evaluated the participating stalls, and the results were formally announced at the conclusion of the event by the Second-in-Command of the Battalion,  Sandeep Sharma. The winning stalls will be felicitated during the Battalion\u2019s upcoming Raising Day celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To encourage creativity, nutrition awareness and teamwork, five special awards were instituted during the mela: Griha Lakshmi Award, Dhan Lakshmi Award,Annapurna Award, Gyaneshvari Award, Utkrisht Jodi Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond culinary excellence, the Millets Mela served as a platform to strengthen mutual cooperation, family participation and social harmony within the CRPF fraternity, reflecting the force\u2019s commitment to holistic well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was graced by Second-in-Command  Sandeep Sharma, Deputy Commandant  K.N.
