{"id":4071,"date":"2026-03-26T13:07:34","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T13:07:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=4071"},"modified":"2026-03-26T13:07:35","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T13:07:35","slug":"kds-conducts-arunachals-first-ever-theatre-based-anti-ragging-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=4071","title":{"rendered":"KDS Conducts Arunachal\u2019s First-Ever Theatre-Based Anti-Ragging Workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ITANAGAR, Mar 26: In a landmark initiative for the state, Kamsa Dramatics Society (KDS) successfully conducted Arunachal Pradesh\u2019s first-ever theatre-based anti-ragging awareness workshop, introducing a creative and participatory approach to addressing ragging among school students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop was held from 11th February to 26th March, led by Paalin Kabak, in collaboration with the Department of Education, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative was conducted across 10 districts of Arunachal Pradesh\u2014Shi Yomi, Leparada, Tirap, East Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Subansiri, Kamle, Pakke Kessang, Tawang, and Itanagar Capital Complex\u2014covering multiple schools in each district. Approximately 1,000 students actively participated in the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"578\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0282.JPG.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4072\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0282.JPG.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0282.JPG-300x173.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0282.JPG-768x444.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop aimed to raise awareness about ragging and its harmful effects, encourage students to express themselves freely, and promote a safe and respectful school environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each session was designed as a one-day intensive workshop using theatre-based techniques, including interactive exercises, theatre games, theme-oriented drawings, role-play and performance modules, and group discussions. This unique methodology enabled students to engage with the issue in an experiential and reflective manner, moving beyond conventional lecture-based formats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"562\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0283.JPG.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4073\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0283.JPG.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0283.JPG-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0283.JPG-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Students were guided to understand and identify the cycle of ragging and recognize key roles in such situations\u2014victim, perpetrator, silent observer, and upstander. They were encouraged to reflect on their own roles, develop the confidence to speak up, and form peer support groups to build a safe and supportive environment within their schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1000\" height=\"562\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0281.JPG.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4074\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0281.JPG.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0281.JPG-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/IMG_0281.JPG-768x432.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>During the sessions, Paalin Kabak emphasized that parents should carefully consider sending children to hostels at a very early age, as it can affect their emotional well-being and ability to express themselves.
