ITANAGAR, May 7: Day after the All Arunachal Pradesh Students\u2019 Union (AAPSU), led by President Meje Taku, visited the family of whistle-blower Late Gyamar Padang on his death anniversary and assured support for a \u201cStatue of Honour,\u201d the Arunachal Pradesh Government on Wednesday announced that it will officially erect a memorial statue in his memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister Pema Khandu in his social media stated that the statue would honour the late whistleblower\u2019s courage and public-spirited contribution toward exposing loopholes in the recruitment system and promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cI met his family members and conveyed my heartfelt respect and condolences. The memorial will stand as a lasting tribute to his life and as an inspiration for future generations to uphold honesty, responsibility, and public service,\u201d the Chief Minister stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late Shri Gyamar Padang, recipient of the State Gold Medal (posthumously), courageously drew attention to gaps in the recruitment system and worked towards strengthening transparency, accountability, and efficiency in our institutions. His sacrifice and integrity will forever inspire the youth of Arunachal Pradesh to uphold honesty, responsibility, and public service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
