Yumthung Sitlhou, former General Secretary of MBCNEI and former member of the Executive Council of CBCNEI (2001\u20132010), Pastor Paogoulen Sitlhou, and Pastor Kaigoulun Lhouvum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council stated that the untimely deaths of the church leaders have brought immense sorrow not only to their families and churches but also to the entire Christian community across the Northeast and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Condemning the incident in the strongest possible terms, the ABCC described the attack as a senseless and inhuman act of violence against servants of God and peace-loving citizens. The Council further stated that such acts stand against the teachings and values of Jesus Christ, who calls upon humanity to love one another and pursue peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"778\" height=\"469\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-05-13-at-8.40.48-PM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4112\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-05-13-at-8.40.48-PM.jpeg 778w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-05-13-at-8.40.48-PM-300x181.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-05-13-at-8.40.48-PM-768x463.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 778px) 100vw, 778px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Quoting from the Holy Bible, the statement recalled:\u201cBlessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.\u201d \u2014 Matthew 5:9<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It further added:\u201cDo not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.\u201d \u2014 Romans 12:21<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ABCC called upon all communities and concerned authorities to uphold justice, protect human life, and work tirelessly for peace, reconciliation, and mutual understanding. It emphasized that violence and hatred can never build a just and harmonious society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, churches, and all those mourning the irreparable loss. Prayers were offered for strength, comfort, and peace for every grieving heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Urging believers and churches to remain steadfast in prayer, the ABCC appealed to all Christians to continue upholding the values of love, forgiveness, unity, and peace even during difficult times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement concluded with the Biblical verse:\u201cThe Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.\u201d \u2014 Psalm 34:18<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement was issued by Rev.
