{"id":476,"date":"2023-03-12T15:59:00","date_gmt":"2023-03-12T15:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=476"},"modified":"2023-03-13T16:01:42","modified_gmt":"2023-03-13T16:01:42","slug":"15-cadres-of-eastern-naga-national-government-laid-down-arms-before-state-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/?p=476","title":{"rendered":"15 cadres of Eastern Naga National Government  laid down arms before state government"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ITANAGAR,Mar 12: A total of 15 cadres of Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) including its President Tosha Mossang, active specifically in three eastern districts of Arunachal Pradesh \u2013 Tirap, Changlang and Longding known as TCL region \u2013 laid down arms before the state government in a simple \u2018Homecoming Ceremony\u2019 here at the state police headquarters in presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Home Minister Bamang Felix, the state chief secretary, DGP and top officials of Assam Riffles and other central armed forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"685\" src=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/P5A1051-1024x685.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/P5A1051-1024x685.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/P5A1051-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/P5A1051-768x514.jpg 768w, https:\/\/arunachaltoday.live\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/P5A1051.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In his brief address, Khandu welcomed back the \u2018misguided youths to the mainstream\u2019 and expressed hope that their willingness to lead a \u2018normal\u2019 life would inspire those still \u2018underground\u2019 to shun the life of violence and terror.<br>He asserted that that the central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is committed to bring all misguided persons, who have taken up arms against the establishment for one or other reason, back to the mainstream and provide them with a normal and better life.<br>\u201cViolence is no solution to any problem. Peace, dialogue and commitment are the solution to every problem,\u201d he said.<br>Khandu pointed that Arunachal Pradesh has always been a peaceful state and that his government is committed to ensure that it remains so.<br>\u201cWith you (ENNG) returning home to normal life, Arunachal Pradesh has made a giant leap towards peace. I hope this step of yours will set the doors open for others to come back home,\u201d he said.<br>Khandu informed that the state government has the \u2018Underground Surrender Policy\u2019 in place to rehabilitate them as well as facilitate their livelihood.<br>\u201cThis financial year (2023-24), we have allocated Rs 5 to encourage misguided youths to shun violence and become partners of growth.We assure the surrendered cadres all help to join the mainstream for their meaningful contribution to the State and the country,\u201d he said.<br>The Chief Minister lauded the role of Assam Riffles and the state police in pursuing with the rebels and encouraging them to surrender and start a normal life.
