Peaceful Candle Light March held to show solidarity and justice for Late Tamik Taki

ITANAGAR, May 18:  The Peaceful Candle Light March was organized to show solidarity and to demand justice for Late Tamik Taki who was found dead in a mysterious condition in Sinag River, Tuting on May 5th last.

 The candlelight vigil was been organized by the Adi Ba:ne Kebang (ABK) Papum Pare unit from Akashdeep Shopping Complex to  Solung Mopin Ground, 0 Point Itanagar.

Speaking on the occasion, President ABK-Papumpare Unit Tapang Kopak has urged the Home Department to expedite the case and arrest the culprit involved in such heinous crime as well as to confer stern action as per the law, so that no such crime would be repeated again.

The incident exhibits the sordid episode of third-degree barbaric torture before he was killed, which is tantamount to the rarest of rare crimes. It is an act of heinous crime and such criminal(s) who are enemies of humanity should have no place in the society which must not go scot-free, the ABK urged the home department to ensure immediate arrest of the culprit(s), he added.

Further, Adi Ba:ne Kebang (ABK) Papum Pare unit expresses its heartfelt thankfulness to the Arunachal Indigenous Tribal Forum (AITF), Kuri Dajum Olung (KDO), Anggong Society, Media house of Itanagar Capital Complex, and members of civil society who came to participate in Peaceful Candle Light March .

 Late Tamik Taki was missing since April 22 last from RWD colony Itanagar later his dead body was found floating in Siang river at BFCC area Tuting on May 5 last with various wounds & injuries with both the hands and legs tied crossed by 6 mm GI wire.
