NAMSAI, Jan 25: The 186 Bn CRPF, under its Civic Action Program (CAP) for 2024-25, established a Career Counselling Center at the CP Namchoom Government Polytechnic College, Namsai. Dharmendra Kumar Singh, Commandant of 186 Bn CRPF inaugurated the center in presence of officers and personnel of the battalion, college faculty, students, and other dignitaries.
The Career Counseling Center aims to guide and assist students in exploring opportunities in various fields, particularly recruitment to Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). To mark the inauguration, a workshop was organized for the students, providing valuable insights into the recruitment process and career prospects in CAPF.
Speaking on the occasion, Dharmendra Kumar Singh emphasized the importance of career counseling in empowering the youth and guiding them toward meaningful careers. He also highlighted the various civic action programs organized by 186 Bn CRPF, which include health check-up camps, free medicine distribution, and providing sports items to children.
The inauguration of the Career Counseling Center is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of young students in Namsai and the surrounding areas, fostering a sense of purpose and direction among the youth.
The Principal of CP Namchoom Government Polytechnic College, Namsai S. Suresh Kumar, expressed gratitude to the CRPF for their consistent efforts to support the community and enhance educational resources for students.
Among others, Sandip Sharma, Second-in-Command, K.N. Haldhar- Deputy Commandant, Dr. Chundru Lakshmi Manasa-SMO, Ms. S. Seema Devi- Assistant Commandant, and Karpoor Babla- Assistant Commandant of 186 Bn CRPF. The college fraternity was represented by S. Suresh Kumar, Principal of CP Namchoom Government Polytechnic College, Kiran Tana, Lecturer cum Training and Placement Officer, and other faculty members along with Dridhuyang Payum, GB of Village-Kasik.
