Arunachal Yuva Samanvay (AYS) 4.0 Valedictory Ceremony Held at Kombo Jirdin

KOMBO- JIRDIN, Jan 31:  The Arunachal Yuva Samanvay (AYS) 4.0 reached its grand conclusion with a vibrant valedictory function graced by distinguished guests, including Sri Jarken Gamlin (Major General, Retd.), Chief Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh, and Md Shahid Ahmad (Brigadier), as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. Minister Sports & Youth Affairs- Kento Jini,  Mamu Hage, DC West Siang.

The ceremony, held at Kombo Jirdin, was attended by dignitaries, delegates from various tribes, and the public. Sri Ramesh Linggi, Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, welcomed the guests and highlighted the objectives of organizing the AYS, which aimed to inspire and bring together the youth of Arunachal Pradesh.

In his speech, Kento Jini encouraged the youth to be the torchbearers of society. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the sports facilities provided by the government for talented individuals and urged the youth to excel both in sports and academics. He also announced that AYS 5.0 would be organized in the upcoming year, expressing hope for continued growth and participation.

The event was initially scheduled to be graced by the Hon’ble Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, but due to inclement weather, the Governor was unable to attend. However, he conveyed his messages to the delegates and participants.

Md Shahid Ahmad (Brigadier) also shared his thoughts, highlighting the role of youth in the development of the state and society.

As the Chief Guest, Sri Jarken Gamlin stressed the importance of education for the future of society. He urged the youth to focus on their studies, as education is the backbone of any society. He praised the state’s unity in diversity and called upon the youth to work toward the betterment of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and Hon’ble Minister distributed prizes to the winners of various events. The four-day event was organized by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the District Administration led by Ms Mamu Hage (IAS), DC West Siang, and the local organizing committee of Kombo Jirdin village. Sri Momar Lollen ZPM Kombo-Jirdin coordinated the event with local organizers and other stakeholders.

The valedictory function was also attended by Sri Doi Ado (Ex-Minister), various HoDs, officers, panchayat leaders, public representatives, cultural teams, and delegates from across Arunachal Pradesh.

Sri Tumto Loyi, DSO Aalo, extended his gratitude to all participants and organizers for the smooth conduct of the event, ensuring its success. (DIPRO)
