NIRJULI, Aug 30: A Mental Health Workshop was successfully organised today at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) in collaboration with AMTRON, highlighting the importance of mental well-being in academic and professional life.
The keynote address was delivered by Ms. Mahima Shrestha, a globally recognized crisis coach, resilience trainer, and mental health speaker. She has done mental health and crisis recovery training events worldwide: Nepal, France, UK, USA, South Korea, Spain. It is her first workshop in India at NERIST. In her session, she spoke about coping mechanisms, building emotional resilience, and the significance of addressing mental health challenges with openness and empathy.
The workshop was hosted by Dr. Nabam Teyi, Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who welcomed the gathering and emphasized the need for such initiatives in higher educational institutions.

The event was graced by Dr. Madhubala Sharma, Dean of Research and Development, NERIST, as the Chief Guest.
Professors from various departments and a large number of students of NERIST actively participated in the workshop. Interactive discussions and engaging activities made the session highly meaningful and impactful.

The workshop concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing that it was a fruitful and eye-opening experience that would help them navigate personal and professional challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
