Piyong, Sept 20: In a landmark moment for the education sector of Arunachal Pradesh, the newly established Government Model Degree College at Piyong in Namsai District successfully held its maiden Introduction-cum-Orientation Programme for students and faculty members.
The programme, described as a historic beginning, marks the laying of a strong academic foundation for the region, opening new avenues for intellectual growth, research, and holistic student development.
Principal Ms. Tumter Lollen, who is leading the institution with dedication, was lauded for her commitment to academic excellence. The event also witnessed the presence of Circle Officer Mr. K. Saroh as Special Guest, whose inspiring words motivated the first batch of students to embrace higher learning with zeal and determination.
Extending his best wishes and appreciation, Namsai MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom congratulated the new teaching fraternity, students, and the people of Piyong Circle, terming the college a “transformative step towards empowering rural youth through quality higher education.” He expressed hope that the institution would soon emerge as a hub of knowledge and opportunity for generations to come.
