TUTING, Sep 30: In a bid to promote the use of Hindi and celebrate Hindi Diwas, the Spear Corps of Indian Army organized an exciting Hindi Debate Competition here on Monday in Tuting.

The competition witnessed participation from students of three prominent schools in the region like  Government Town Secondary School, Government Higher Secondary School, and PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya.

A total of 12 students, four from each school, participated in the debate, with two students speaking for the motion and two against it. The event, attended by 75 students, was held with the goal of fostering a sense of pride in the use of Hindi within the academic community. The debates revolved around two thought-provoking topics: “Are Strict Regulations Essential for Environment Conservation?” (पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए कड़े नियम आवश्यक हैं?) and “Digital vs Traditional System of Education in India” (डिजिटल शिक्षा बनाम पारंपरिक शिक्षा).

The participants impressed the audience with their fluency and articulation in Hindi, demonstrating their extensive knowledge and understanding of the issues at hand. The competition provided a platform for students to showcase their linguistic abilities and critical thinking skills while addressing contemporary challenges facing society.

To acknowledge their efforts, the top performers were awarded prizes and medals, boosting the morale of the young debaters. The event concluded with applause and appreciation for the participants, making it a memorable celebration of Hindi Diwas in the vibrant town of Tuting, stated a release.
