ITANAGAR, Dec 6: In a significant development for the education sector in Arunachal Pradesh, the state government has regularized 214 contractual teachers (196 Primary Teachers (PRTs) and 18 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs)) working under the Integrated Scheme for School Education (ISSE), formerly known as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).
Education Minister P.D. Sona announced the milestone on his social media, congratulating the newly regularized teachers. “Your commitment to shaping young minds and contributing to education is invaluable. This milestone is a result of the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu and the tireless efforts of the Education Department,” stated the Minister.
He further emphasized the government’s dedication to educational reforms, ensuring a brighter future for the youth of Arunachal Pradesh. “Let us continue working towards transformative educational reforms!” he added.
The move fulfills a long-standing demand of ISSE teachers, who have been advocating for regularization based on seniority for many years. The decision highlights the government’s commitment to uplifting the education sector and recognizing the contributions of dedicated educators.
The newly regularized teachers have been instructed to download the official order in PDF format and report to their respective Deputy Director of School Education (DDSE) offices to complete the joining formalities, stated Minister.
