BOMDILA, Dec 15: The District Level Yuva Utsav, organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) West Kameng in collaboration with the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, and Shanti Deva Vidyalaya (SDV), Bomdila, concluded successfully at the SDV Auditorium. The event celebrated youth engagement, creativity, and talent across diverse fields.
Former Deputy Inspector General, Sashastra Seema Bal, and former State Information Commissioner of Arunachal Pradesh, Smt. Sonam Yudron, attended as Chief Guest, and Mrs. Arunachal 2019, Smt. Lekki Phassang Khonjuju, as Special Guest, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students, educators, and youth from across West Kameng. Other dignitaries included Tashi Tsering, Principal of SDV Bomdila, and members of the school faculty.
The Yuva Utsav featured six key categories: Science Exhibition, Young Writers Contest, Young Artists Contest, Photography Workshop, Declamation Contest, and Cultural Group Dance. It provided a unique platform for participants to showcase their creativity, intellect, and skills while fostering unity among the youth.
In her address, Chief Guest Smt. Sonam Yudron applauded NYKS for organizing such an impactful event. She praised the participants for their enthusiasm and discipline, emphasizing the importance of youth involvement in shaping a vibrant and progressive society. She also commended the representation of various schools and communities, highlighting the diversity and talent present in West Kameng.
Special Guest Smt. Lekki Phassang Khonjuju encouraged the youth to leverage opportunities provided by such platforms to explore their talents and make meaningful contributions to society.
The event also included a Science Exhibition that reflected the creativity of participants inspired by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Lobsang Nima of Roopeland School secured first place in the Science Exhibition (Individual) category, while Tenzing Lepson and her team won first prize in the Science Exhibition (Group) category.
The winners of the Yuva Utsav will represent the district at the State Level Yuva Utsav, offering them a broader platform to showcase their talents and gain exposure.
The program was inaugurated by Avik Ranjan Das, District Youth Officer, NYK West Kameng, who extended gratitude to the guests, jury members, and participants for their support and contributions.
