Naharlagun Police Promotes ‘Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha’ Through Various  Activities For Students

NAHARLAGUN, Jan 24: As part of the ongoing Road Safety Month themed “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha,” the ICR Naharlagun Police organized engaging activities in local schools to promote awareness about road safety.

An essay competition was held at VKV School, Nirjuli, while a drawing and painting competition took place at APP Welfare Pre-Primary School, Naharlagun. These initiatives aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among students regarding road safety rules and practices.

The events saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of students, who expressed their creativity and innovative ideas through essays and artwork. The young participants emphasized the critical role of adhering to road safety norms to prevent accidents and protect lives.

Superintendent of Police, Naharlagun, Shri Mihin Gambo, IPS, commended the students’ efforts and creativity during the activities. He highlighted the significance of such programs in shaping responsible and safety-conscious citizens.

SP Gambo reiterated the police department’s commitment to promoting road safety through sustained campaigns and community engagement. He encouraged students to become ambassadors of road safety in their communities, spreading awareness and contributing to a safer society.

The Road Safety Month activities in Naharlagun reflect the police department’s proactive efforts to educate and empower the youth, ensuring a culture of road safety awareness for the future.
