Raj Bhavan celebrates UP Diwas; Governor conveys greetings,gratitude to people of Uttar Pradesh

ITANAGAR, Jan 24: Continuing its goodwill tradition, the Arunachal Pradesh Raj Bhavan celebrated the State Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar on 24th January 2025 with the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. The Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd.), along with the First Lady of the State Smt Anagha Parnaik participated in the programme with the people of Uttar Pradesh residing in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Governor greeted the people of Uttar Pradesh on their Statehood Day, particularly those who are in the State in different professions and business.

The Governor, on behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, thanked the people of Uttar Pradesh for their contributions to the progress of the State. He expressed his hope that they would maintain the spirit.

Referring to the history of Uttar Pradesh, the Governor remarked that it mirrors the broader history of India. He highlighted how Uttar Pradesh, with its rich cultural legacy, artistic achievements, and revolutionary contributions, has played a pivotal role in shaping India’s progress. Commenting on the organization of the Maha Kumbh Mela, he praised the exceptional leadership and vision of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Highlights of the programme were traditional Kajri Folk Dance by the students of Vivekanand Kendra Vidyalaya, Chimpu, Itanagar led by Km. Nidhi Kumari, poetry recitation on Kumbh Mela ‘Amausa Ka Mela’ by Kr. Saraswat Maurya, Kathak Dance by Km. Mahima Pandey and Holi Geet ‘Ram Khele Holi Lakshman Khele Holi’.

At the initiative of the Governor to strengthen the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’, Arunachali girl Km. Manami Moyir Gamlin of Vivekanand Kendra Vidyalaya, Nirjuli presented a Kathak Dance ‘Ganesh Vandana’. The Arunachali tribal students of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Awasiya Vidyalaya, Yupia by Km. Tarh Sara performed a traditional dance on the occasion.

The students of K Blooming-Early Intervention and Learning Centre, Naharlagun,  a special school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, Down Syndrome and other Neuro Developmental Disorders and PM Shri Govt. Higher Secondary School, Arunodaya, Itanagar attended the UP Diwas as the Special Guests of the Governor.

The Governor and the First Lady of the State interacted with all the participants over a High Tea. The participants shared their experiences with the Governor and the First Lady of the State. They expressed their appreciation for hosting the event. They also conveyed their gratitude to the State and its people for fostering a spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie.(Rajbhawan)
