Naharlagun Police Conclude Road Safety Month 2025 with Successful Campaign

NAHARLAGUN, Jan 30:  The  Naharlagun Police concluded its Road Safety Month 2025 campaign under the theme “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha,” emphasizing the critical need for safe road practices and accident prevention through public awareness and education.

Over the course of the month-long initiative, the police organized several roadside awareness drives aimed at educating commuters on traffic regulations, responsible driving, and pedestrian safety. In addition, information pamphlets with key road safety measures were distributed to the public to encourage safe practices on the roads.

In an effort to instill road safety awareness in younger generations, the police conducted interactive sessions at various schools across ICR Naharlagun. These sessions sensitized students to the importance of traffic rules, the dangers of reckless driving, and the necessity of pedestrian safety protocols.

A special health check-up camp for drivers, including police personnel, was also held at TRIHMS, Naharlagun, promoting the well-being of those regularly on the road.

As part of the campaign’s educational drive, essay and drawing competitions on road safety were held at VKV School, Nirjuli, and APP Primary School, Naharlagun. The winners were recognized and awarded for their creativity and understanding of road safety principles.

SP Naharlagun, Shri Mihin Gambo, IPS, highlighted the collective responsibility of all citizens in ensuring road safety. He reaffirmed the police’s commitment to making roads safer for everyone, stressing that such initiatives are vital for a safer, more responsible community.
