Health & Family Welfare Department Hosts Comprehensive Medical Campaign in Nari

NARI, Jan 30 : The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Lower Siang District, successfully organized three concurrent health events at CHC Nari, providing free medical services to the residents of Nari Sub-Division. The Integrated Health Campaign (IHC), 100 Days Tuberculosis Campaign, and Sparsh Leprosy Campaign-2025 were launched to improve healthcare access and raise awareness on critical health issues.

The program was inaugurated by Rujjum Rakshap, DC Lower Siang, in the presence of Ainstein Koyu, ADC Nari, Junaki Bomjen Kaye, ZPM Nari, CO Nari, DMO, DRCHO, RFO, and other officials. Specialists from various medical fields, including Gynecology, GDMO, Dental Surgery, Ophthalmology, and ENT, were invited from Ruksin FRU to provide expert services to the public.

The IHC event featured comprehensive testing and treatment for a variety of diseases, along with counselling sessions and risk and vulnerability assessments. The initiative aimed to ensure that essential health services reach the doorstep of the community, with linkage to further treatment options as needed.

In addition to the health services, the district administration facilitated Aadhaar enrolment and updates for residents. The Department of Forest also contributed by initiating a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam” program, with the motto ‘Clean and Green Nari.’

Despite the inclement weather, over 400 beneficiaries took advantage of the services offered at the camp, underscoring the success of the multi-faceted initiative that served the community’s healthcare and environmental needs.(DIPRO)
