Itanagar, Feb 8: The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) has strongly condemned the derogatory and racial remarks made by a YouTuber Elvish Yadav towards Chum Darang, Bigg Boss contestant and Finalist. The comments, which were posted on various social media platforms, not only target Ms. Darang personally but also insult the entire women’s community of Northeast India.
The APSCW described Elvish Yadav’s remarks as deeply offensive and called for immediate action from the concerned authorities. The commission emphasized that such behavior perpetuates a culture of fear and intimidation among women from the Northeast, particularly those who are pursuing their dreams in the film industries of Bollywood making them vulnerable and marginalised.
The APSCW has urged the relevant authorities to take stern action against Yadav, holding him accountable for tarnishing the reputation of Ms. Darang and, by extension, the women from the Northeastern region.

Earlier, condemnation on Elvish Yadav has sparked widespread support across social media platforms, with people from different parts of India expressing solidarity with Chum Darang and calling for more respectful discourse regarding the women of the Northeast and demanding action against Elvish Yadav.
