ITANAGAR, March 24: A shocking case of suspected arson in Sanglo Putung-III village has claimed the lives of a mother and son, who were trapped inside their burning home. The victims have been identified as Lt. Ruhik Tame (26), son of Lt. Ruhi Taram, and Lt. Ruhi Yania (65), wife of Lt. Ruhi Taram
The tragic incident came to light on March 23, 2025, at 6:40 AM, when authorities received a telephonic report about a fire engulfing a house in the village. Upon arrival, responders found the two victims charred to death.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Smti Tash Nako (23), wife of Lt. Ruhik Tame, may have been involved in the act. She has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered under Sections 103/326(g) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), informed Superintendent of Police, Itanagar.
SP further added that a detailed investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to the tragedy.
