Naharlagun Police Enhance Night Patrolling to Strengthen Public Safety

Nirjuli May 2: In a sustained effort to bolster public safety and uphold law and order, the ICR Naharlagun Police have intensified late-night patrolling in vulnerable and isolated areas. Police teams from Papu Hills, Naharlagun, Nirjuli, and Banderdewa Police Stations are actively engaged in regular night patrols to deter criminal activities and ensure swift response to any untoward incidents.

These patrols function as a preventive mechanism against offences such as theft, burglary, snatching and unlawful activities. They also support surveillance operations and facilitate the identification of suspicious movements during nighttime hours. The enhanced visibility of police personnel during the night has instilled confidence among the public and significantly contributed to the maintenance of public order.

The Superintendent of Police, ICR Naharlagun, Shri Mihin Gambo, IPS, appeals to all citizens to extend full cooperation to patrolling teams and adhere to lawful instructions issued by police personnel during night hours. Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary movement in deserted or high-risk areas during late hours and to promptly report any suspicious activities or persons to the nearest police station. Furthermore, citizens are encouraged to install surveillance systems (CCTV) and maintain adequate exterior lighting around their homes and business establishments. Active public participation remains essential in preserving peace, preventing crime, and fostering a safe and secure environment across the Capital Region.
