Nirjuli, May 15: Following a viral social media post dated May 14, claiming that a hotel in Nirjuli displayed the national flag of Pakistan on its hoarding, the local police have swiftly launched an enquiry to ascertain the facts.
The Police authorities are closely examining the authenticity of the image and its context — specifically whether the symbol shown is indeed the Pakistan flag or an Islamic religious emblem that may have been misrepresented’ stated SP Naharlagun in a press statement.
Officials have assured that if any violation of the law is found, strict action will be taken accordingly.
“We urge all citizens to remain calm and not let misinformation or emotional responses escalate the situation,” said a SP. “Premature conclusions can lead to unnecessary tension and disrupt public order.We appealed for public cooperation and emphasized the importance of maintaining communal harmony during the ongoing investigation.
