NAMSAI, May 29: The Inter-Battalion Yoga Competition, organized by the 186 Battalion CRPF at the Core Hub Camp Complex, Jajapur, Namsai, concluded today after three days of vibrant participation and spirited performances. The event, which commenced on May 27, 2025, witnessed active engagement from several CRPF battalions, promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being through yoga.
The closing ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. D.S. Hernwal, Rector of Arunachal University of Studies; Shri Ajay Jha, Professor and Vice Chancellor of the university; Mr. Tongke Ering, Yoga Trainer from Patanjali Yogpeeth; and Smt. Nang Sujata Namchoom, Principal of Blooming Buds Public School, Namsai.
Shri Dharmendra Kumar Singh, Commandant of the 186 Battalion, warmly welcomed the chief guests and extended heartfelt gratitude for their presence and support in promoting wellness through yoga. He also acknowledged the presence of students from Blooming Buds Public School, who added a vibrant note to the event with their excellent band performance during the closing ceremony—earning widespread appreciation from attendees.

Senior CRPF officers including Shri Bipin Kumar Singh (2.I/C Adm), Shri Sandip Sharma (2.I/C Ops), Shri K.N. Haldhar (Deputy Commandant), Dr. Ch. Lakshmi Manasa (Senior Medical Officer/Deputy Commandant), Shri Karpoor Babala (Assistant Commandant), and Miss S. Seema Devi (Assistant Commandant), along with subordinate officers and jawans of the 186 Battalion, were also present to witness the event.
In a competitive display of discipline and dedication, Team 186 Battalion emerged as the Winner, while Team 142 Battalion secured the First Runners-Up position, and Team 68 Battalion claimed the Second Runners-Up title.
