NAMSAI, June 15: In a significant success in the ongoing war against drugs, the Anti-Drug Squad (ADS) of Namsai, led by DySP Tage Tallang, carried out a meticulously planned raid on June 14, following credible intelligence inputs. The operation targeted the residence of Chow Aravi Khen at Adi Line, Namsai, who was suspected of concealing narcotic substances.

During the search—conducted in strict adherence to legal procedures and in the presence of two independent witnesses—the ADS team recovered a total of 90.93 grams of heroin. The contraband was cleverly concealed inside plastic soap cases and a Liv-52 tablet container.

A case has been registered under Section 21(b) of the NDPS Act against the accused, and further investigation is underway.

Namsai District Police have reiterated their firm stance on drug-related crimes, warning that anyone found involved in the trafficking, possession, or sale of illegal narcotics will face the full force of the law.
