ITANAGAR, June 25: The Arunachal Publishers & Broadcasters Guild (APBG) , Arunachal Electronic & Digital Media Association (AEDMA), Arunachal Press Club and Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists jointly condemn the recent attack on the office of Awadh TV in Itanagar.
Such an act of violence is not only unlawful but also sets a dangerous precedent for similar incidents in the future. We firmly believe that grievances related to any publication or broadcast content should be addressed through appropriate legal channels, not through intimidation or aggression,added media organization.
Organizations also urge all stakeholders to uphold democratic values, maintain press freedom and seek redressal through lawful means in case of any dispute or misinformation.
Expressing solidarity with Awadh TV channel, APBG & AEDMA has also urged media outlets to practice caution in the dissemination of news to uphold our collective commitment to a free, fair and responsible media in Arunachal Pradesh.
