PASIGHAT, Aug 21: In a decisive move against counterfeit goods, Pasighat Police on Thursday busted a racket involving fake printer cartridges and seized 37 counterfeit HP cartridges valued at around ₹2.27 lakh. The raid took place at Hi-Tech Computer Shop in the main market area near the Patanjali outlet.

The operation was launched following reliable intelligence and was executed by a team headed by Lady Inspector Ojum Riba, supported by personnel of Pasighat Police Station. The action was closely monitored by SP Pasighat, Shri Pankaj Lamba, IPS, and Officer-in-Charge, Shri Atan Taki.

Commending his team, SP Pankaj Lamba urged customers to exercise caution while purchasing electronic accessories.
“Counterfeit items not only cheat buyers financially but also encourage illegal trade practices. People must always check authenticity before buying branded goods,” he stressed.

The Pasighat Police has appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspected counterfeit activity to the nearest police station.
