MAHADEVPUR, Sept 1: In a decisive strike under Operation Dawn 2.0, Namsai District Police seized 25.48 gms of suspected heroin during a targeted operation on Monday.
Acting on reliable input, a team led by Inspector Tabin Padung, OC Mahadevpur PS, intercepted Humbor Gogoi (32), a resident of Dirak Gukhal, Assam, near Rajiv Dabha, Dirak. On thorough checking, heroin concealed in soap cases was recovered.

The operation was executed in the presence of independent witnesses by ASI Suresh Yadav, SI M.P. Singh, HC D. Tsering, and Ct. C. Welly. The seized contraband was sealed on the spot, and the accused was taken into custody.
Police have registered a case under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.
The Namsai Police reiterated their unwavering commitment to making the district drug-free, vowing that the war on narcotics will continue with full force.
