ITANAGAR, Dec 7: After the arrest of at least two Agriculture Development Officers (ADO) from 2021 batch, aggrieved aspirants demanded the state government declare the whole examination of ADO-2021 held under APPSC as ‘Null & Void’.
Speaking to the reporters at the press club today, an aspirant (Moni Bitin) stated that, after arrest of two ADOs from the 2021 examination it has been proved that paper has been leaked or sold to candidates depriving the genuine candidates. We have also submitted various names with proof to the SIC, so we are very much assured that there are many candidates who bought question papers. There was no equal opportunity; the examination of 2021 was between genuine aspirants and Paper buyers, lamented aspirants.
Another aspirant (Jidam Riamuk) claimed that some Community Based Organization (CBOs) is shielding the accused by pressurizing the Chief Minister. We the aspirants want to caution those CBOs not to indulge in such activities, if needed we will disclose their names, added aspirant.
He also questioned the investigating agencies for not arresting the former Chairman APPSC – Nipo Nabam . All the cash-for-job scandal was held under the nose of the Chairman, so the SIC/ SBI should not be confined to countable people only, but everyone should be investigated properly. Stating that, he also claimed that one suspect whose name has been submitted to SIC is involved in the heinous crime. We believed that the SIC will soon arrest them.
After so much of proof and information, if SIC would not take any action, then we will be compelled to doubt on the integrity of the SIC, he asserted. Stating that, aspirant also questioned the Chief Minister for his silence during the whole episode. Where is his claim on ‘Zero tolerance on corruption? CM in his recently has asked the aspirants to maintain patience, whereas we aspirants have been maintaining patience for the last three months, or else we would have resorted to Bandh call.
Meanwhile, the aspirant (Sunya Hibu) also demanded a proper investigation of ADO-2017 examination and if found any kind of malpractice, that exam should also be called Null & Void.
