Menchuka, Arunachal Pradesh, Sept 15, 2025: The Indian Army conducted an outreach programme titled “A Day with Company Commander” at Segong, Menchuka, aimed at strengthening ties between the Armed Forces and the local community while inspiring the youth of remote regions.
The event brought together 100 enthusiastic participants from villages across the Menchuka region. The initiative was designed to provide them with a first-hand experience of Army life, cultivate patriotism, and encourage them to explore careers in the Armed Forces.
The programme began with an interactive session where the Company Commander briefed the youth about the daily routine of soldiers, the challenges they face, and the opportunities available to motivated individuals. Participants were given insights into Army functioning, familiarised with equipment, and guided through military facilities.

In addition to exposure to Army operations, the event featured career guidance sessions, physical fitness workshops, and leadership training. Soldiers also engaged the youth in sports and team-building exercises, promoting camaraderie and mutual understanding.
This outreach not only aimed to motivate youth to serve the nation but also reinforced the Army’s efforts towards community engagement, perception management, and civil-military cooperation in strategically sensitive border areas. Such programmes reflect the Army’s role as a positive force in fostering national integration and building trust with local populations.
The overwhelming response and enthusiasm of the youth underscored their patriotic spirit and highlighted the enduring relationship between the Indian Army and the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
