Lada–Sarli Highway Compensation Scam: ACB Nabs DLRSO, Investigation Widens

ITANAGAR, Dec 18: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Arunachal Pradesh, has arrested a serving government official in connection with the alleged misappropriation of compensation funds for the Lada–Sarli Frontier Highway project, marking a crucial turn in the high-profile case that has triggered public outrage and sustained protests.

As per an official ACB press release, a case registered under ACB Police Station Case No. 13/2025 stemmed from a complaint jointly filed by members and office bearers of the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA), East Kameng Unit, Seppa. The complaint alleged serious irregularities in the disbursement of compensation linked to the strategically important frontier highway project.

Following an in-depth examination of documents, interrogation of concerned individuals, and technical analysis, the ACB arrested Takam Kechak (45),  DLRSO East Kameng.

The ACB clarified that the investigation into the compensation scam is still underway and that all angles of the case are being probed thoroughly as the inquiry is in progress.
