ITANAGAR, Mar 10 : The Family members of  Lt Tumi Gangkak have urged the authority to arrest the prime suspect officer in the murder case of Under Secretary  Lt Gangkak during a press conference held at the press club on Friday.

Narrating the last hours of her Husband, Tomi Gangkak Wife of Lt Tumi Gangkak stated that it was one SIC officer Bomcho Krong who called and asked him to visit CBI office within half hour. Unfortunately, that day was the birth anniversary of our daughter and about to celebrate together on February 23 last. But after a few hours when he didn’t return to home, we contacted Inspector Krong to look out for my husband but the officer claimed that Lt. Husband didn’t come to the office.

My husband didn’t return and was found dead in a mysterious condition. So, I have a strong feeling that Krong has some connection with the murder, she added.

While expressing doubts on the whole episode, Dejar Poyom a family member disclosed that, Lt. Gangkak was getting life threats. Who will be benefited from the death of Lt. Gangkak as he was the prime witness of CBI and SIC for the whole APPSC scam? whether it is all the paper  ‘chor’ , or officers from Commission involved in the scam, or the candidates that need to be investigated properly , she stated.

As family members, he also sought Call record details of Lt Gangkak and claimed that  Inspector Krong  has sent a message stating ‘ I am Murderer now’ to someone on 24th February at 10:51 pm which also need investigation.

Further, Family members also refused to accept the Postmortem report claiming that the reason behind the death is not specific and that also a copy of the report was not handed over to the family members yet. Very surprisingly, even the state government didn’t send any condolences on the death of one of its officer’s yet, added Poyom.

Family members have demanded immediate arrest of the prime suspect Officer, details CCTV footage of the intervening night to ascertain who drove car of Lt Gangkak, and a proper Postmortem report.
