ITANAGAR, Mar 10 : The Aggrieved Compassionate Candidates under Arunachal Pradesh Police has declared to extend its dharna , after the state government failed to redress their demands.
Speaking to the media,T . Padung the spokesperson of the Core Committee of Aggrieved Compassionate Candidates under APP stated that despite the first phase, the second and third phase of our dharna state government is not giving heed to our demands, which compelled us to extend or protest.
He also added that, day by day health conditions of many parents who came to dharna seeking justice for their rights are deteriorating. Even rations of are empty now, so we will be compelled to go on ‘fast’ as a mark of our peaceful dharna.
Stating that, he informed that Aggrieved Compassionate Candidates are only asking the government to absorb all the candidates who lost their parents, husband or wife while serving for the state. He also stated that the selection of 183 out of 508 candidates through the home survey by the department in 2019 is unfair.
Another Candidate questioned the process of selection of compassionate candidates by the Home Department. As per the criteria, the process of the home survey done by the concerned department was unfair to the maximum number of candidates (Discrimination) .
As per criteria, the concerned department selected those candidates who have a handicap in the family member but there were several candidates who also have a handicap in the family member but they were not selected in the year 2019. The concerned department selected to those candidates whose father/mother was in service and died on duty but there were unfair to other candidates whose father/mother also died on duty but were not selected by the department, why? questioned Aggrieved Compassionate Candidates.
