ITANAGAR, Mar 19: The incumbent MLA for the 5-Kalaktang-Rupa constituency Shri Dorjee Wangdi Kharma, has recently joined the NPP following the BJP’s refusal to grant him a party ticket. Instead, the ticket was allocated to one Tseten Chombay, believed to be the brother of the current Chief Minister, Pema Khandu.

Kharma’s alignment with the NPP stems from public appeals, due to his responsiveness to constituents’ voices and his commitment for public services’ said his supporters . This move underscores a significant shift in political allegiance in the region, with Kharma opting to align with the NPP.
