Ziro, Nov 2: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Saint Claret College Ziro (SCCZ) held a successful Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Gyati Takka General Hospital (GTGH), Ziro, where 16 units of blood were collected from enthusiastic donors, including students and staff members of SCCZ. This event marked the unit’s fourth blood donation camp of the year, establishing SCCZ NSS as the highest single-year donor at the GTGH Blood Bank.
The commitment of the NSS SCCZ unit was recently recognized at the state level, where they were felicitated for their remarkable contributions to blood donation efforts in the region. Dr. Hage Yubey, blood bank officer at GTGH Ziro, praised their dedication, saying, “We express our deepest gratitude to the SCCZ NSS, particularly Program Officer Jeremiah Modi, for organizing this camp. Their dedication and enthusiasm have yielded significant results, with active participation from all stakeholders and a substantial collection of blood units for patients in need.”
