ITANAGAR, Nov 11 : The Arunachal Frontier Tribal Front (AFTF) has expressed strong resentment following the abrupt withdrawal of 47 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts advertised for Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) just a day before the scheduled recruitment examination by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) on November 10. The sudden rollback has led to frustration and uncertainty among job aspirants who had been preparing for the exam.

Representatives of the AFTF met with APSSB officials on Monday to seek clarification on the withdrawal, questioning the rationale behind the last-minute decision. According to the AFTF, APSSB officials advised them to consult TRIHMS, noting that the decision to withdraw the posts originated from TRIHMS, which is the parent department responsible for the MTS positions.

“The decision was made merely two days before the scheduled exam, causing disappointment and doubt among aspirants,” an AFTF representative told the media. “Such abrupt actions, without prior notice or explanation, harm public trust and morale among local candidates,” added the AFTF members, urging APSSB to provide a clear justification for the withdrawal.

Following their meeting with APSSB, AFTF members also visited TRIHMS to address their concerns directly with the TRIHMS Director, Dr. Moji Jini. According to the AFTF, Dr. Jini suggested they submit a written representation to obtain detailed information regarding the decision. In response, AFTF members have filed a Right to Information (RTI) request to gain clarity on the matter, said AFTF representatives.
