TANAGAR, May 6: Policy for unemployed Youths, Inter-state boundary issue and reintroduction of Old Pension schemes are some of the key issues that were taken as a resolution in the second State Executive Committee meeting of the state unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) held here today on Friday.
Addressing the media person, General Secretary –NPP (State) Paknga Bage informed that, during its executive committee meeting, the party has resolved to submit a suggestion to the state government to initiate a separate State Policy for the welfare of the unemployed youths. Youth are the future of the state and nation, so the need of the hour is proper policy for our youth to keep them engaged in a positive way.
NPP has created three categories-, illiterate, Drop out and graduate unemployed, accordingly, there should be a policy for them in every sector. Besides, government jobs there should be proper policies to support or engage them according to their category . Moreover; we also suggested keeping job reservations for the APST youths in private sectors, informed General Secretary-NPP(State)
Further, speaking on the Inter-State boundary issue, Bage informed that the NPP will never compromise on the boundary of Arunachal, we won’t spare inches of our land. Bage further added that, NPP welcome the decision of the Assam and Arunachal governments to solve the boundary issue out of court, but NPP urge the state government not to compromise the land of Arunachal. NPP also advised creating a Police Beat center in the designated location of the boundary disputed areas to stop repeated encroachment and intrudes from Assam.
Stating New Pension Scheme (NPS) as not favorable for government employees, NPP urged the state government to re-introduce the Old Pension Schemes replacing the NPS.
