Minister Mama Natung inaugurates first ever Arunachal Yuva Samanvay (AYS)

JAIRMAPUR , May 06: Minister Sports &Youth Affairs Mama Natung along with legislator Laisam Simai inaugurated the first ever Arunachal Yuva Samanvay (AYS) organised by the Department of Youth Affairs at Setong Sena general ground here on Friday.
AYS is the first ever programme bring organised in the state to foster and promote nationalism among the youths. It also aims for cultural exchange among the 26 tribes and other sub tribes of the state.
Addressing the gathering, Natung said that the AYS is basically a youth conclave where participants from across all districts is participating in the three days long programme. 
Through various activities, the youths will exchange culture, customs and also build brotherhood. 
He said it is a platform to bring prosperity, integrity and brotherhood among the youths from different tribes. There should not be differences among people on the basis or district and tribe, rather join together to create a greater Arunachal.
“The state government is always providing such platforms to create youth empowerment. Therefore, i appeal every single participants to make the best use of it,” he said, assuring that his personal effort will to ensure the AYS is a calendar event.
Natung appealed to the youths to refrain from drugs usage and join sports & games for healthy society. He also called on the youths to create awareness on the protection of environment, forest and wildlife. 
Legislator Laisam Simai acknowledging the initiative of Youth affairs department for coming up with the idea of organising AYS, said that it will highly benefit the youths of state. 
He said it is not only a festival but a perfect platform for the youths to share ideas, culture, customs and building bond among themselves. The youths should learn to be self reliant and contribute towards the society.
“I welcome every single person who came all over from different districts of the state to Changlang district. At the same time i also appeal to the people of Changlang district to make friends and also learn from the brothers and sisters of other tribes,” he said.
Meanwhile, terming the conclave as confluence of cultural exchange, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs, Anirudh Singh appealed to the participants to make efforts in building a united, progressive and proud Arunachal Pradesh.
Earlier on the day, former Miss Arunachal Roshni Dada addressed the gathering on empowering youths from her perspective.The three days conclave will include folk music, folk dance, adventure sports, handicrafts making, Yoga sessions, motivational speech, painting and photography etc.
