Cases Registered Over Unfair Practices in APPSCCE (Prelim) Examination 2024

NAHARLAGUN, Dec 16 : The Naharlagun Police Station has registered two separate cases involving unfair means during the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (Preliminary) 2024, following complaints from examination center authorities.

Case 1: Mobile Phone Found in Examination Hall

In Naharlagun PS Case No. 157/24 under Section 318(2) of the BNS, a mobile phone was found in possession of a candidate inside the examination hall at Kendriya Vidyalaya, C-Sector, Naharlagun. The Centre Superintendent lodged a formal complaint after discovering the phone with Ms. Mudang Yabyang, a PWD candidate.

The phone was seized during the investigation, and Ms. Yabyang’s statement was recorded. While she was allowed to leave with instructions to cooperate with the ongoing investigation, authorities emphasized strict adherence to examination protocols.

Case 2: Missing OMR Sheet Recovered

In a separate incident, Naharlagun PS Case No. 158/24 under Section 305(e) of the BNS was registered after the Centre Superintendent of Government Higher Secondary School, G-Sector, Naharlagun, reported a missing OMR sheet.

The missing sheet, belonging to candidate Ms. Binam Teng (Roll No. 110069), was later recovered from her possession. During the investigation, it was revealed that Ms. Teng had inadvertently taken the sheet home.
