MECHUKA, Dec 16: Arunachal Pradesh’s picturesque Mechuka Valley, often hailed as the “Hidden Paradise of the Northeast,” is gearing up to host the 3rd National Adventure Racing Championship from April 17 to 20, 2025. This thrilling event aims to promote adventure sports, eco-tourism, and the rich traditions of the region, attracting participants and enthusiasts from across the nation.
The National Adventure Racing Championship, known as India’s premier adventure sports competition, challenges competitors with grueling races through some of the country’s toughest terrains. Winners of this national-level event will earn the opportunity to represent India at the ARWS Asia Regional Championship.
This year’s event, titled “Adventure @ Mechuka,” promises a breathtaking showcase of endurance, culture, and natural beauty. Scheduled during April, Mechuka’s lush landscapes and snow-capped peaks will offer a stunning backdrop for this world-class competition, which is expected to draw a large audience of adventure enthusiasts, tourists, and nature lovers.
Announcing the event, Arunachal Pradesh’s Tourism Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona shared his enthusiasm on social media:

Known as the World’s Toughest Team Sport, Adventure Racing blends endurance, tradition, culture, and eco-tourism, spotlighting Mechuka as a premier adventure tourism destination. This first-ever adventure race in Arunachal aims to boost border tourism and attract participants from across the globe.”
Sona further encouraged adventure seekers, saying, “Mark your calendars and experience the spirit of adventure, human resilience, and the breathtaking beauty of Mechuka!”
