Huge Cache of Weapons, Ammunition recovered in Joint Operations by Indian Army, Assam Rifles, & Manipur Police  

IMPHAL, MANIPUR, Dec 17:  – In a series of coordinated operations, the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Manipur Police have successfully recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and war-like stores (WLS) from various districts of Manipur, highlighting their commitment to regional security.

Key Recoveries by Date and Location

07 December 2024: L. Jangnomphai
Assam Rifles and Manipur Police recovered:

A sniper rifle, a .22 pistol, two 9mm pistols, a 7.65mm pistol, and a .303 bolt action rifle.

Grenades, ammunition, and war-like stores.

10 December 2024: Tingkhai Khullen (10.5 km Southwest of Kotlen Village)

A 9mm Carbine Machine Gun (CMG), a .303 Single Bolt Sniper Rifle, a 9mm pistol.

Grenades, ammunition, and war-like stores.

11 December 2024: Chandel District

An AK-47 rifle, a 9mm pistol, three locally made mortars, and a single-barrel gun.

Ammunition and war-like stores.

11–12 December 2024: Telsing and Laijang Villages, Churachandpur District

A .303 rifle, a 9mm pistol, four factory-made 12mm single-barrel rifles, a .22 rifle, a 12mm shotgun.

One MA-1 (MK-I) assault rifle, an air gun, ammunition, and war-like stores.

13 December 2024: Imphal East District (Fringe areas under Irilbung Police Station)

A 5.56mm MA-4 Assault Rifle, a single-barrel rifle, two pistols.

Grenades, ammunition, and war-like stores.

Enhancing Regional Stability

The recovered items have been handed over to the Manipur Police for further investigation and disposal. These operations demonstrate the effective coordination between the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, and other security forces.
