ITANAGAR, Jan 21: The Itanagar Police have successfully solved a series of burglary cases, leading to the swift recovery of stolen items, including mobile handsets, LPG cylinders, and a guitar. The breakthrough came after a complaint was lodged by Moken Loyi, a resident of Chandan Nagar, Itanagar. According to the complaint, Loyi’s house was burgled on January 7, 2025, when he was away. Stolen items included a Samsung mobile phone, LPG cylinders, and a guitar.
Following the registration of the case (Itanagar PS Case No. 10/2025), the police launched an extensive investigation led by Inspector K. Yangfo, Sub-Inspector Randhir Kr Jha (Investigating Officer), Assistant Sub-Inspector Tage Nima, Assistant Sub-Inspector Marki Kamgo, and Constable Jumli Zirdo. The team worked under the guidance of Shri Kengo Dirchi, SDPO of Itanagar. The relentless efforts of the team led to the identification and arrest of the accused, 18-year-old Taba Rajiv, a resident of Gohpur Tinali, near the Donyi Polo Gas Agency office.
During questioning, Rajiv admitted to committing several thefts in the area. He revealed that he had stolen LPG cylinders, mobile phones, cash, and other items from various locations. Rajiv also confessed to a significant burglary at Fatafat Store near Hanuman Mandir, Ganga, where he had stolen Rs. 3,00,000 in cash.

Thanks to the police’s timely intervention, several stolen items were recovered, including seven LPG cylinders, five mobile handsets, and the guitar. The prompt and diligent investigation not only led to the recovery of these items but also prevented further criminal activity by the accused.
