Kibithoo,Jan 25: The 2nd edition of the Kibithoo Vibrant Village Runsafari, featuring 10 km and 5 km races on challenging yet scenic hilly terrain, concluded successfully at the ITBP 25Bn Unit, Kibithoo. The event was held to commemorate India Tourism Day, honor the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces, and promote a drug-free, healthy lifestyle.
The race was flagged off by Col. Ravi Panwar, Commandant of 6 Kumaon (Jangi); Commandant Deonath Ray of 25 Bn ITBP; Dy. Commandant Jagmohan Bishwakarma of 25 Bn ITBP; Sub Maj. Kishan Singh Bisht (Sena Medal) of 6 Kumaon (Jangi); and Mr. Tashi Tsiring Meyor, President of the Meyor Welfare Association (MWA).
The event saw participation from 159 runners representing various armed forces and villages such as Kibithoo, Kaho, and Walong. Organized by Kolkata-based Real Sports India (Sportive), the initiative was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India (North East Regional Office), the Department of Tourism of Arunachal Pradesh, the District Administration of Anjaw, and ITBP 25Bn and 6 Kumaon (Jangi).

Participants received exclusive T-shirts and medals, while winners were honored with trophies and prizes.
With a resounding success, plans are underway to host the 2026 edition on a grander scale, further promoting fitness, tourism, and community engagement.
