Kamba, Feb 1: An Integrated Mega Health Camp was successfully organized by the District Health Society in collaboration with the District Administration and the 356 Army Field Hospital, Aalo, at CHC Kamba in West Siang District on January 31, 2025. The camp, which aimed at providing comprehensive health care services and facilitating access to essential government schemes, was initiated by Ms. Mamu Hage, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of West Siang, on the instructions of Shri Pema Khandu, Honourable Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh.

The event was inaugurated by Shri Pesi Jilen, HMLA of the 27th Liromoba Constituency, who expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the State Government and District Administration in organizing the health camp. He encouraged the public to take advantage of the free medical services and emphasized the importance of registering under the Chief Minister Arunachal Arogya Yojana (CMAAY), a scheme offering free medical treatment to eligible beneficiaries.

Shri Tamo Riba, ADC Kamba, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Tomar Kamki, DMO Aalo, outlined the objectives of the camp, highlighting its focus on providing accessible and holistic healthcare for all.
The health camp saw an overwhelming turnout, with over 989 patients receiving free medical consultations and treatments. A dedicated team of specialist doctors from various departments, along with a fully equipped dental team led by Col. Dr. Kissinger Maring, Commanding Officer of the 356 Army Field Hospital, provided vital oral health services to the community.

In addition to the medical services, HMLA Pesi Jilen launched the 100 Days Intensified TB Elimination Campaign during the event. This initiative marks a significant step in the government’s commitment to eradicating tuberculosis through enhanced early detection and treatment, reflecting a strong resolve to improve public health in the region.(DIPRO)
