Naharlagun Police Successfully Recover Three Missing Minors from Assam

NAHARLAGUN, Mar 27:  In a significant breakthrough, the Naharlagun Police successfully recovered three missing minor girls from Dibrugarh, Assam, in connection with Naharlagun PS Case No. 95/24 under Section 137(2) BNS.

The rescue operation was carried out by a dedicated team from Naharlagun Police Station, led by Inspector Krishnendu Dev, along with Lady SI B. Doke, Ct. Debojit Borah, L/Ct. Kime Rija, and L/Ct. Khoniya Sumnyan. The minors had been reported missing from Nyigam Colony, Naharlagun, in August 2024.

Upon recovery, the three minors were presented before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Dibrugarh. Of them, one minor was handed over to CWC Karbi Anglong, where further arrangements were made for her safe return to her family in Karbi Anglong. The remaining two minors were brought back to Naharlagun and placed in the custody of CWC Naharlagun for further legal proceedings.

The successful operation was made possible through the relentless efforts of OC Naharlagun, Inspector Krishnendu Dev, and his team, working under the guidance of SP Mihin Gambo, IPS, and SDPO DySP Rishi Longdo. The swift and coordinated action by the Naharlagun Police highlights their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of missing children.
